@relationship_anarchist @PolyArtKid hmm. What's that I smell.... New comers? Here? On this rainy NYC day?

I went to a much last week and it was pretty nice. Met with a bunch of like minded folks in the kink scene. Maybe that's the path to go.

one of my partner is pretty abusive toward themselves. they have real mental issues and they go to therapy, but it does shit when they get drunk, and they do every couple of months. don't know what to do. can't really call anyone official because they are terrified of being hospitalized and they'll never trust me again. can't turn my back.

Hello folks... been a while! How's everyone? What are the weekend plans?

Mine involve relaxing today and tomorrow... work >.>

But at least it involves pizza and apparently alcohol maybe and commute is a walking distance, so.

Do you guys get notified when someone toots? I don't, I have to look back in my feed to see who said what. I assume people don't use the general channel to share

@Jerrik any chance you're good with git and maybe heard of Hugo? No chance in hell you us Emacs, right?

Hmm.. so the gist is this: you guys are awesome. Thank you for being here

People who understand and are not busy looking for their jaw after they dropped when they heard that I have more than one partner are few and precious. Maybe I need to have more patience in my life for these, and less patience for the monos.

There are many things that tie into life of poly (and kink for me) that you can't be fully who you are, you have friends for different layers... And as fun as it can be to bring a friend another layer further, it's work. It's trust. It's patience.

This Friday my co worker noticed I chuckled after he asked about my "roommates." Long story short, decided fuck it, we're talking about his sex life (there's more context to this...) so what's one more person that knows...

Day after I'm talking to a woman who's been poly and kinky for years.

The difference in what we can talk about, things we share right off the bat, the ease of talking... Got me thinking again.

Just met a new person through FL and had lovely time. I forgot how good it feels to hang out with someone who lives poly and kink. I'm tired being a mystical creature who explains I do not cheat and that I'm not a freak....

@JoshRollins I only found relationships when I stopped looking, and they always tend to come all at once, and I never turn away a possible relationship if that's where a friendship is going... so I guess my answer is I think. I never stop looking, and I try not to specifically seek out, and when I'm not expecting it they come all at once.

Morning... Kind off, still sleepy.

Here's a q. Do you ever stop looking for more new potential partners? If so, when? And when looking back, what are the things you found your looking for? Ever surprised yourself?

And with this light questions, I'm going back to nap..

How's everyone doing?

Man, yesterday was brutal. Brutal I say. Usually I try to keep tabs of what I do at work on my journal, but I was unable to sit down for more than 15 minutes. Somehow I dragged myself to gym.

I feel more encouraged reaching out to folks on OKC and FL, we'll see what happens.

How's your morning? What painting/drawing/sketch did you look at last?

I'm also trying to get more people in here, so if you have any suggestions .. feel free! have a good morning all :)

(part 4)
Do you feel bad when your partner has a perfect pasta somewhere even though you make it at home? If you want a good burger, you won't make one at home, you'll go out for it.. so why not the same mind set for sex?

When I thought about it like that I started thinking why we have issues with sex workers. Or, while I prefer home cooked meals, we all sometime have a craving... why can't we just go out and get it?

So this went further than I anticipated... *shrug* time for coffee 🤔

(part 3)
In a world that was a bit more free of judgment, some folks could be professional sex workers who can be hired for sex. It would be considered the same thing as going to a restaurant that has a chef. They could go to a school, have a professional degree, and of course be regulated somehow so there are health inspections and even a license etc.

Now, in a world like this, would you really be jealous in a professional sex worker?

(part 2)
Sometimes you order pizza and share also while watching a movie, even though pizza is junk food, it is still great now and then.

Sex is similar. You can crave one kind or another and go to someone else (personally, I think you should be able to hire someone for sex too, I don't see a problem with that) for it. Each person have a dish or two or three they know how to make.

(part 1)
Still didn't have my coffee, woke up slowly from a dream where I was a bit jealous my partner ended up having sex with a stripper I hired for him and came home completely in a state of bliss... then I was explaining it to myself like so:

Think of cooking. you make good salads, home made hummus, some good pasta... your partners love the cooking, you love theirs. But it doesn't mean they won't crave some Indian food (we all like Indian food) or some Mexican...
