@JoshRollins I finished a book simply titled "Ancient Egypt" and now I'm reading "Magic and Mystery in Ancient Egypt." Next on the list is "Temples of Ancient Egypt." I think there's a theme there. ๐Ÿ˜… What've you been reading?

I've looked off and on, but mostly off these past few years because I had gone back to school, so no time, and then I was happy being lazy, and now I'm spending a lot of free time on my art.

Past experience tells me I subconsciously seek out nerdy women named Stephanie. ๐Ÿ˜œ

I very much hope that the disparity gets worked out. It sounds quite important to you and it's probably best to not lose sight of what you really want in a relationship :IH:

Sorry I've been quiet; I have to play catch-up on my various social media accounts since I picked up some freelance work. Having a full time dayjob and a side gig means sometimes I'm working quite a bit more than a flat 40 hours/week. Love my side gig, though, it's one of my life's joys. ๐ŸŽถ

I'm sorry :/
It's weird that he would date you for six months and reject the boyfriend label but I guess that's just people being people.

Hopefully the rest of your week eases up a bit!

I've actually looked at quite a bit of art today while scrolling through social media. Been working on my own stuff too, as usual, and got an "order" from a new customer yesterday. Dayjob has been pretty calm this week. So far, so good. :)

For me, it was Okcupid and furries.
Though, I deleted my Okcupid profile earlier this year because somehow I kept attracting D/s kinksters and the male Dom would send his fem sub to try to draw me into their thing, which is not my thing.

The furries are all over the place with gender, sexuality, lifestyles, etc but there seems to be a good proportion of poly furs. Also I'm a furry so it's my "home" subculture.

I used to do the log bit, but that's when I worked in law, and we called it billing. ๐Ÿ˜

This has honestly given me a lot to think on, and it's been an interesting ride thus far, so thank you!

My partner is working on her doctorate in sociology, and after so many conversations about human beings and their behaviors both on micro and macro levels, I'm going to go with "it's probably both inherited disposition and environmental factors" for me :)

I've never thought of poly as a sexual orientation. I'm pansexual, so that's where I am on sexual orientation. Poly is more of a personal worldview and social preference that I probably gained through a mix of nature and nurture. Love is something I want to express, something I want to put out into the world, and it's not a finite resource. I'm capable of loving multiple people both platonically and romantically, and it feels right and feels like a good thing to put in the world.

There are a lot of different sized hoops out there ;)

I've smacked myself in the face and accidentally flung hoops across rooms plenty of times, but I've become so much more graceful since starting this. I can catch things that I drop or are tossed at me! Once, a high heel broke and instead of taking a nasty spill on the slippery vinyl floor, I gracefully sank to one knee! I've slid on surprise patches of ice and not lost my balance! That's super cool for me :)

It's a lot of fun! There are a lot of resources online and tutorials on YouTube :)

Here's the hula hoop I keep at work. My boss lets me hoop in the conference room during my lunch break. It gets me away from my desk and re-centers me with movement and music. During cooler months, I go for walks outside, but in the desert heat, hooping indoors gives me a much needed outlet. I've had this hoop for 4 or 5 years, it feels almost like an extension of my body :)

The little bit I get from art commissions just gives me a tiny bit of extra money to play with ๐Ÿ˜ It's not anything I can rely on

Good morning! Here's a little bit about me since I never properly introduced myself:
36, been in Las Vegas, NV for 20 consecutive years plus one. Married for 11 years, and our partner has been living with us for 6 years. No human kids, but two fuzzy ones: Alphonse the cat and Winry the dog. I collect hobbies; drawing (mostly furry art, which I sometimes get paid for), sewing, hula hooping/hoopdance, cooking, crochet, and various object collections like model horses, pins, and tarot decks. ๐Ÿ˜Š

We had donuts and pizza during our vacation earlier this month. Also, taro milk tea with boba. I love that stuff so much! And pancakes with lots of butter and syrup, mmm.

I love eggs! Right now, I'm really into eggs scrambled with chorizo. So yummy! Other top faves are omelets, deviled, machaca con huevos, and tamagoyaki. Though on weekdays, I only have time for my coffee and cream in the morning.

Today was a bit of a Monday, so I figured I'd end it with a photo of our lovely girl, Winry.

I do plan on writing some more stuff about myself since I haven't done an introduction toot yet. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
